How could an article recommendation look like, that recommends articles from the whole we.publish universe ?

As a reader, I'm interested in certain topics. When I read an article, i often want more of the same and i do not care, if it is from the same medium. So how could an article recommendation look like, that recommends articles from the whole we.publish universe or the whole internet (haha!).
