We’re looking for a tool (a machine learning algorithm), which enables an automated detection of the solar panels (on the roofs) on an orthophotography. Ideally the tool should be able to…
- distinguish between photovoltaics and solarthermics
- reveal the size and exact location of the solar collector (in order to know the “roof part surface”)
- use different orthophotographs as input-data In order to use e.g. older orthophotographs from different sources (swisstopo, Cantons etc.)
