OpenBooking

OpenBooking is a search engine for bookable accommodations. The metasearch crawls through various booking systems according to previously defined criteria. These queries take place in real-time to guarantee current price information and availability. Available accommodations are listed clearly and homogenously regardless of their type.

The project has provided two years of anonymized bookings for us to use, along with supplementary datasets of hotels and apartments.

Um möglichst anonym zu bleiben, publizieren wir Ferienwohnungen und Hotels nur mit ihrer Geo-Position. Mit der Postleitzahl könnte es wieder etwas kritisch werden. Zudem geben wir die Suchabfragen von 2015 und 2016 frei, damit Vergleiche möglich sind. Enthalten sind Suchdatum, checkin, Nächte, Erwachsene und Kinder.

Usage terms

This Data Package was made in preparation for the Open Tourism Hackdays, with help from volunteer contributions.

This source data has been obtained with permission to distribute at the event only, and republished here in view of extending the terms of use of the providers Internet sites to include licenses for open data.

You are very much encouraged to try to formulate ideas and create prototypes based on this dataset, in order to create use cases that may lead to opening this data further. If you have any questions or concerns, please talk to the data providers or organisers at the Hackdays.
