Data resources

We encourage participants to use open data portals like opendata.swiss which are listed on the make.opendata.ch wiki along with many past projects. Together with workshop participants, the School of Data group has prepared a collection of data packages for use at the Hackdays:

You are free to use these, your own, and other datasets - just remember to always properly attribute your sources and respect each license. Be aware of the terms of use before you dig in.

If you would like to help us publish more open data in this way at the hackdays, you can make suggestions here - or see instructions on creating Data Packages. For more information on data standards and tooling at Open Knowledge, visit Frictionlessdata.io. Reach out to the organisers if you have any other questions.

The Business Innovation food.opendata.ch program supports creative, entrepreneurial and scientific projects in the area of food and nutrition data on their way from the first idea to market readiness by providing new open data, intense coaching and mentorship, and financial support.

On 10/11 February 2017 we invite around 200 software developers, engineers, designer, nutritionists, civil servants, and entrepreneurs to jointly develop new solutions for a transparent, efficient, and innovative food industry based on open data.
